Liberal MP Hon Nick Goiran MLC, has today encouraged South Metropolitan not-for-profit sporting, recreation and community groups to apply for small sporting grants released as part of the State Government’s Community Sporting and Recreation Fund (CSRFF).
Eligible groups seeking capital works grants to develop sport and recreation facilities are encouraged to apply for a total project cost of up to $150.000.
Mr Goiran said the small grants were designed to complete projects which may otherwise be out of reach for these organisations. “The availability of these grants to sporting groups can make all the difference when it comes to acquiring resources that promote healthy, active lifestyles and well-being”, he said. “I strongly encourage our local community groups to get in early to secure the much needed funding for new or upgraded facilities and programs.”
The State Government releases $20 million each year for the CSRFF and has released $750,000 for this round of grants.

Applicants must discuss their application with the Department of Sport and Recreations prior to submission.
Applications close 4pm March 31.
